Jack S. L. Works on Turf WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI May 18.— Mrs. John S. Letelliers veterai campaigner, Jack S. L., was worked ovex the turf course between the seventh and eighth races yesterday. The nine-year-old son of Jack High— Burgee, by Pennant, went a mile in 1:42%. His fractions were :39. :51, 1:03%, 1:16% and 1:29%. In spite of the fact that his time was impressive enough, it did not apear that the veteran worked kindly, for, during most of the trip, he didnot appear to have his mind on the task at hand. Jack S. L. probably will be seen in action here in the near future.
