GRAND BARTER came to the outside for the stretch run, bore in on BONRILLA who, in turn, bumped PNUT VENDOR, then took command midway of the final furlong and drew clear under punishment. ZOOM, probably best, moved up boldly on the outside nearing tthe three-sixteenths marker, was forced to take* up sharply when in close quarters, closed determinedly when clear and was getting to the winner. PNUT VENDOR encountered slight interference when making his final bid. BONRILLA was pinched back when GRAND BARTER came over entering the stretch and was unable to recover. MARTIN WHELAN was outrun. TRY IKE, away alertly, gave way to UNION JOE between calls entering the stretch, continued on gamely when apparently beaten by the latter, regained command when UNION JOE sulked and lasted ow SISTER CORA. The latter was never far back, closed well under punishment and just missed. UNION JOE went to the front with a rush nearingthe furlong marker to take a clear lead, sulked under punishment in the late stages and, under severe punishment about the head, could not withstand the leaders. SPIZERINKTOM closed a gap after being outrun early. ROUNDELEER was never dangerous. OUR PIGEON never menaced. Overweight— Our Pigeon, 1 pound. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. The latter came out for the drive and finished determinedly, but could not seriously menace the winner. ELCAN closed with a belated rush, but was not good enough. SIR BLASKER could not improve his position through the late stages. SUN GALLAHAD could not keep up. DARK HEATHER caught tiring horses. DEVIL DOG quit.
