BILRONETTE, a prominent factor from the start, disposed of JEAN DEAR when hard urged through the stretch and, in a long drive, withstood POWELLS OUT. The latter closed resolutely in a good effort and was steadily wearing down the winner. MERRIEST raced evenly through the late stages without mishap. DOUBLE DARED began sluggishly and was forced to take the overland route throughout. JEAN DEAR failed to stay after setting the early pace END ZONE was never a serious threat. LADY BELL was outrun. NIGHT GRASS tired under punishment. BARUDIE raced greenly. BOLD SIS showed brief speed. STEEL WIT raced wide throughout and lost all chance. Scratched— 730862 Black Dahlia, 107. The latter closed resolutely and was getting to the winner. UNCLE DREW moved up boldly after a half mile while on the outside, then failed to respond when called upon for the tirive. MITE closed a gap, but rallied too late to become a serious factor. RITA DUGAN saved ground to no avail. SCHNEIDER could not keep up. FOUR PETS quit. WIBAUX gave a listless effort. PEBBLES HOUR gave way after racing prominently until inside the stretch. DARE HE IS was always outrun. UNTOUCHABLE was also outrun. ISA PRINCESS quit badly once displaced. BUBBLE GUM, unhurried when outrun down the backstretch, was: hustled to the. front with a rush on the upper turn and, in a long drive, withstood TRIandIE. The latter steadily picked up the field, came to the middle of the track for the drive and closed determinedly under punishment. CLEVELANDER slipped through next to the inside rail on the turn, but could not overtake the leaders. SPRING CHIMES was forced to take up slightly when in close quarters on the far turn, then could not seriously threaten thereafter. MY SISTER failed to stay after displaying early speed. ELDERBROOK was never dangerous. DICKS GAL quit. LADY JOAN was taken up sharply near the half mile post and failed to respond thereafter. Scratched— 739094 Jimpin, 109.
