DORKO, slow to begin, went up swiftly on the outside to be with the pace, disposed of the leaders and drew out, then, tiring badly near the end, held GYPSY ACTRESS clear under punishment. The latter was well placed from the break and was getting to the winner REAL SWEET lost some ground early, moved up steadily between horses and finished well. MOON BLUE Vvas slow to gain stride. LITTLE HARE had no excuse. BRILLIANT JR. was outrun. SUN SYMBOL quit and came out of the race lame. CHANCE TAKER and EL CABRILLO quit after showing early speed. Scratched— 743364 Canteen Lad, 108. OUTSKIRTS, away well, established a clear lead and came to the inside after a furlong, then lasted over MASICO LAD in the drive. The latter was steadied the opening half mile, moved up between horses and, closing stoutly, was wearing down the winner. SOHELPME moved up on the outside on the turn, swung out slightly coming out of the turn, then failed to make up ground in the drive. GAYHEUSH, slow to begin, closed with good courage. BUNCHBERRY had brief speed and tired. ROSILY broke in a tangle and swerved out after the start. HALCYON DUKE, forced to lose ground on the turn, quit. PLAY HANDS raced prominently between horses, took command briefly, but was no match for the winner although best of the others. VESUVIO was forced to lose ground all the way while with the pace. BIG CASINO duelled for the lead on the rail and went out slightly after a half. FLYING LOUISE raced wide. SIDDONS was outrun. REIGH MISS was pinched back going into the first turn, moved up between horses to be prominent and weakened. STRAETH was outrun. FRISK quit. UNCLE MAC was through early.
