Pierce to Open Secretary Office at River Downs RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 19. — Linus Pierce, an assistant to racing secretary L. H. VanZandt, will depart for Cincinnati following the conclusion of Saturdays program here. Upon his arrival, he will open the secretarys office at River Downs for the convenience of horsemen and begin registrations. The River Downs Jockey Club will inau- gurate a 40-day summer meeting on June 1 and, according to VanZandt, who will preside as racing secretary, stall reserva-. tions are already taxed to near capacity.
