ONE MISS alertly sprinted to the front, saved ground while racing true and held her opposition safe handily. COLLEEN BAWN began well and loomed boldly moving to the winner on the far turn, gradually weakened thereafter, but held on tenaciously to best SEA BED. The latter, between horses and gradually improving position, finished determinedly. LADY HEROD saved ground and rapidly entered contention on the turns, then could not get up in the drive. APACHE LADY had good early speed, but tired and drifted to the inside. FRAUD began slowly and was outrun. CHERUB raced wide and quit. BUNNY HUG was not a factor. BQY BLUE was sent to the front at the start, shook free of SUPTELA in the early stretch and drew out easily. SUPTELA raced in close attendance to the pace, then tired and lugged in in the final run. MAH HEAVENS, away slowly, closed with good courage in the stretch drive. FLATTOP, lacking racing room and forced to take up through most of the backstretch run, made a mild move on the stretch turn and weakened. KROESETTE faltered. BLUE RHYMER, far superior to her field, established a commanding lead at once without need of pressure, increased her advantage at will and was under wraps coming to the finish. SPRINGBUCK, intermittently urged while racing in close company with ORCO, responded gamely and outfinished that one. ORCO raced outside SPRINGBUCK, but was not good enough for him. DELONG, lightly steadied when outsprinteti by JAY W. ESS shortly after the beginning, quickly disposed of that one on the final turn and opened a long lead to win easily. HACKENSACK, outrun and trailing for a quarter mile, circled very wide for the drive and made up considerable ground. INAJIFFY was a keen early factor, bore out on the turns and weakened. SKY WORLD was not a threat. JAY W. ESS had speed for a half mile, quit and pulled up sore. ANNS SULTAN quit. MYTHOLOGICAL was through early. EASTERN FLOWER was forced back on the far turn. TWO RAINBOWS settled into a safe command soon after the start, held her speed evenly under confident handling and won with something left. FLOWER HAT, rushed to the pace on the inside after hesitating at the start, drifted a bit wide when punished in the drive and could not gain. MOBILE BELLE, a keen factor, was sharply taken to the inside when FLOWER HAT drifted out entering the stretch and then weakened. FLOCO responded well at the end and outfinished KfAT CHECK GIRL, who was closing fast on the extreme outside. SUN CROWN was not pressed for speed Overweight— Two Rainbows, 1 pound, Sun Crown, 2. CHLOE profited from a swift beginning and immediately established a commanding lead, never was seriously menaced and increased her advantage as her rider pleased ADMIRAL DRAKE raced in closest attendance to the winner, gradually weakened, but held the others clear. MR. BUSTER raced between horses early and lacked a rally. BOLD JO, away poorly, was rushed into contention on the outside, lost ground and tired. PENSAVA went in the air at the start, being practically left at the gate, was under strong restraint for a quarter mile, then clpsed fast on his own courage in a good effort. TEA DEB quit. CELLOPHANE was strongly reserved to keep from running up on the heels of the leaders early, found a large opening and quickly moved through on the inside at the half mile, then was hard punished to draw clear from NEREID in the stretch. NEREID was between horses while vying for the pace, held on tenaciously into the stretch, but then cHfted wide. WILY WILLIE, occasionally taken in hand, closed well under punishment in the drive.
