McGlIRE Staff Correspondent • LEXINGTON, Ky., June 22. — Another fine example of the strength of consignments to the Keeneland summer sales, other than those of the largest breeding establishments, is to be found in the group of five colts and four fillies offered by the Shawnee Farm of Mr. and Mrs. Parker Poe. This group contains more entrants than the average consignment but its balance is nicely maintained throughout. These youngsters have been painstakingly handled from birth by Dr. J. R. Hill, veterinary manager of Shawnee, and they reflect in appearance their excellent pedigrees. Two of the colts that come particularly recommended are by Shut Out — Army Colors, by Man o War, and by Unbreakable — Themesong, by High Time, although Dr. Hill will dispute their superiority over some of the others. The nine youngsters all are by different popular sires, the other stallions being Menow, Alsab, Jet Pilot. Challedon, Third Degree, Adaris and Challenge Me.
