Perseverance Finally Pays Off MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 25. — Greentree Stable appreciates fully the wisdom to the old adage "If at first you dont succeed." After making repeated efforts through all six modern-day racing seasons at Monmouth Park, the famous black and pink stripes finally won a stakes race locally when Northern Star shone brightly in last Saturdays Select Handicap. A thumbing of record books revealed it was the first stakes win for the stable at this northern New Jersey track.
