PERSIANA responded readily when shaken for the final test and closed with good courage. DIBILLANE, guided to the inside for the drive, rallied too late to seriously endanger the leaders. THAT AINT HAY tired when placed to pressure. SURPASSOR raced evenly through the late stages without mishap. LITTLE LESS was outrun. ERNIES FIRST was unable to keep up. COPPER CUP stopped badly. SPRING CHIMES, away fastest, held a commanding lead when shaken for the stretch run and under brisk urging maintained her advantage. POLTROON responded readily when placed to the drive and closed with good energy. ONE ALONE finished resolutely and appears ready for a good route effort. GRAIN MARKET made up some ground during the late stages CHIPPEWA CHIEF, much used early, had little left. ROUNDELEER passed tiring horses. FOXY STAR raced wide RUSTY LAD was always between horses. STAGESTRUCK came out for the drive, but under punishment was not good enough. FLYING DELLA was unable to improve her position during the drive. WOODFORD ROSE rallied too late to become a menacing factor. SWEET RELISH had no apparent excuse. LITTLE WHIM quit. MORE CHEERS and FORMAL were always cutrun. HOP SCOTCH was through early. PETITE GOUTTE showed nothing. MY HENNY, INJURED DURING THE POST PARADE, WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED BY THE STEWARDS. ALL WAGERS ON MY HENNY WERE REFUNDED. FOX sprinted into a commanding advantage soon after the start, tired slightly when roused for the final test, but under brisk urging lasted to prevail over FLOATING CLOWN. The latter moved up menacingly on the outside to reach near even terms with the winner inside the stretch, then appeared to hang during the concluding strides. The latter closed determinedly and gradually was overtaking the winner. COUNTESS IN came out for the drive, but failed to make up appreciable ground. WAR TALK saved ground to nc avail. ASPHALT quit.
