URGENT saved ground while racing within striking distance, of the pacemaker to the stretch, assumed command after racing by AIRTROOP and drew clear under a steady hand ride. M CORK gradually worked way forward and finished willingly but was unable to seriously threaten the winner. AIRTROOP was hustled into command soon after the start, made the pace to the stretch but faltered when challenged by URGENT. PILOGY lacked early foot and was never dangerous. ONE PLAY tired after showing early speed. GLORYS CHANCE began sluggishly and never reached serious contention. GOOD HEAVENS was through early MR. TUCK did not like the slow track. GALLAJACI, never far back, assumed command after three-eighths mile, steadily increased the advantage without need of urging. LADY PICKFIELD began alertly but dropped back after the start, gradually improved position after the opening quarter, but could not get to the winner. RAIDER LARUE, on the outside from the start, closed well under punishment, but could not menace the leaders. NOBLE IDEA lacked early foot and raced wide through the stretch. WHIRL OFF made a good bid entering the stretch, but tired badly during the final furlong. NO NO ANNA went to the front early, raced wide after leaving the upper turn and lost all chance. OBRIENS PAT tired after racing prominently to the stretch. HIKES POINT could not keep up. GLOAMING began sluggishly and was far back throughout.
