Change NCAA Cage Playoff Sites; Seattle Gets Finals LAWRENCE, Kan., June 25 UP.— The National Collegiate Athletic Association today announced establishment of four regional basketball tournaments next March, with the playoff for the national crown to I be held at the University of Washington at Seattle. Arthur C. "Dutch" Lonborg, Kansas University athletic director and chairman of the NCAA tournament committee, announced the dates, sights of regional tournaments and pairings today. Under the new plan, the old western playoffs in Kansas City will be split as were the eastern regionals last year. One-half of the western playoffs now will be held in Corvallis, Ore., the other half remaining in Kansas City. Lonborg said that one of the two eastern regionals will be played at Raleigh, N. C, while the other will be moved from New York to Chicago next year. He said that eastern and western champions will be recognized as in the past, but that the four undefeated teams — the winners in each of the regionals — will go to Seattle for the playoff next spring.
