SIGN HERE forced the pace on the rail, gained the lead when SUGARBUSH went wide and drew away. JACOMARTY saved ground improving position, but tock up rounding the turn when blocked, then came again on the inside when clear to be best of the others. SUGARBUSH outbroke her rider, recovered and went to the lead soon after the start, then ran out leaving the turn and tired. LILBON was forced wide by SUGARBUSH and weakened. ALANTH moved up between horses to threaten and gave way in the drive. CACHET began slowly. SLAMMING SLAM was through early. SAINT LOUP was forced beyond the middle of the track rounding the first turn, improved position steadily on the outside thereafter and disposed of SCOTCH DREAM in the stretch. The latter came to the rail when clear in command on the backstretch, held on stubbornly, but could not resist the top one. JOHN JOSEPH, unhurried early, went through on the inside to be best of the others. TRUMPET CALL raced slightly wide. CLICK was slow to reach best stride. MONTE CASSINO tired. RAMAJO ran out on the first turn. SECLUSION and AMBULATOR quit. PAINTED SHIP, in close attendance of the pace from the start, went up on the outside for the final run and outgamed TELLANRUN. The latter reached the lead on the inside, held on well, but was not good enough. SHORT CIRCUIT went by tired horses. ISOTOPE made a bad landing at the sixth fence and failed to rally. HAM BONE, a sharp factor on the inside, had to be placed in hand when lacking room on the turn, forced his way through on the inside in the drive and disposed of the leaders in the late stages. MISS LYONORS went up on the outside to join the % leaders, ran wide on the turn, drifted out through the drive and faltered nearing the end. KING WILSON raced wide from midway of the turn until the end. OVERLOAD was forced to race wide when improving position. OUR GAY eased back between horses on the turn and failed to rally in the drive. NORTHAMPTON broke poorly, was rushed through on the rail to vie for the lead and tired. KEN-DAVE was off tardily. JUST DESERT eased back on the inside early, came between horses in the drive and outgamed BELARA fcr the place. The latter took a clear advantage in the stretch and faltered. MEG MARCH had no excuse. MARYLAND DAY had speed until the final furlong and tired. HULL DOWN, away fast, dropped back under rating, made a mild bid in the stretch and faltered. DISCREET was forced slightly wide on the first turn, came in along the backstretch, disposed of MY BEBBY on the outside and withstood AMPHIBLEN. The latter trailed early, had to be placed in hand leaving the final turn when blocked momentarily, swung wide for room, then engaged the winner at the sixteenth post, but was not good enough. DULAT went up on the outside on the final turn, threatened boldly in the stretch and hung. TUFFEROO was blocked on the inside in the stretch. TEANECK FLASH bore out on the first turn and tired the final quarter mile. MY BEBBY made the pace until approaching the furlong post and tired suddenly. ALGERIAN ran out on the first turn.
