Conditions stipulate that horses must be maidens at the ! time of the closing, which was March 15. Heading the field for the 15-jump event is James Cox Bradys Boom Boom, who 1 won the Belmont version and must carry 162 pounds in tomorrows event. He is 1 scheduled to race coupled with Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs Cherwell and the entry looms ; the favorite. Another formidable coupling is that of F. Ambrose Clarks Night Patrol ; and Flash OFire. The card tomorrow is a diversified one, , with several races worthy of top billing. . The best event is the seventh, which calls for three-year-olds and upwards to travel I a mile and a sixteenth for a purse of ,500. . Entered are Walter M. Jeffords Loyal I Legion, Sylvester W. Labrot, Jr.s, Arcave, , Charles C. Jones Kensington Lad, Win- i i i • I j • , . I . I , lochan Stables Adopt, John M. Schiff s Four Shoes and John T. Gibsons Trout Lure. Probable favorite in the event is Loyal Legion, a seven-year-old Halcyon gelding who has shown good form in his only three starts this season. Following a sprint con-i ditioner, he was sharp enough to beat Royal Governor at six furlongs. He then came back to finish second to Bit o Fate, with "The Gov." again behind him, as were Arcave and Kensington Lad. Adoph has been sprinting during this season and has displayed good form, coming from far back in his races and indicating that the mile and a sixteenth distance would help. Trout Lure and Four Shoes are the only three-year-olds in the field and each "was a winner last time postward. Stili another good race is the fourth, in which Ode, King Mowlee, Mahoon, Oriole, Black and Blue and Finest Hour II. will dash six furlongs. Mahoon and King Mowlee were impressive winners last time out, while Ode has displayed class in New York engagements.
