Danae Works Six Furlongs In Sensational 1 .09 HOLLYWOOD PARK, Ingle wood, Calif., May 16. — Although it wont count, Mrs. Helen L. Kenastons Danae, a four-year-old filly, set a new track record for six furlongs in a private trial here this morning. The daughter of Sir Damion and First Kiss sizzled the distance in 1:09, a fifth of a second faster than Special Touchs mark for the distance. Several dockers timed Danae in 1:09 and one watch had her in 1 :08 .-,. Danae was timed in :SSH for the quarter, in :3343 for three eighths, :44-, for a half mile and :57 for five furlongs. The track record for five furlongs, held by Little Request, is .51%. Johnny Longden was astride Danae in her sensational drill.
