Task of Allotting Waterford Stalls Just About Completed CHESTER. W. Va., May 16.— While Waterford Park patrons await resumption of racing in this tri-state area on Monday, June 1, one of the major facets for conduct of the local 40-day meeting — that of allot-ing stalls for horses — has practically been completed. A total of 800 horses can be housed in the stable sector. Although the horse colony at present numbers only 50, numerous arrivals are expected over the week end from such racing centers at Kentucky, New England, Ohio and Maryland. Purse distribution totals 00,000, with the minimum prize established at ,200. Among the features are three stakes events, highlighted by renewal of the ,500 added Waterford Park. Its companion early closing fixtures are the Iron City Handicap and Independence Day Handicap, each endowed with ,000. Post time will again be 2 p. m., eastern daylight time, and eight races will be presented each week day with exception of Wednesdays and Saturdays when nine will be decided.
