HBPA Nominqtes Committee For Rocky Mountain Division AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr.. May 26.— A meeting of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, Rocky Mountain Division, at which 300 members were in attendance, was held here yesterday. The purpose of the gathering was accomplished with the nomination of 23 candidates to serve on the division committee during the forthcoming year. Allen L. Higgins, incumbent vice-president, was given a standing ovation by those present, following a vote of appreciation for his efforts on behalf of the organization. The membership refused to nominate a candidate to oppose him in the coming election which is scheduled on June 9. Owners and trainers whose names were placed in nomination included: Guy Shultz, Tom Westrope, Omer Hall, Ed Luther, Jim Herndon, L. O. Lane, Bud Ray, Lee Bush, H. H. Mundy, P. W. Hodges, Walt Lewis.
