Jockey Howard Gray Shaken Up in Fall at Ak-Sar-Ben AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 26.— Jockey Howard Gray became the second jockey within a week to be injured at Ak-Sar-Ben during the early morning training hours. He was thrown from a horse while schooling from the starting gate this morning. Examined by Dr. Donald Fang-man at the track hospital, he was found to have suffered only a shaking up although instructed to cancel mounts on todays card. Harold "Pinky" Walker, who was similarly thrown last week and sidelined indefinitely as a result, was re-examined by Dr. Jim Myers this morning and ordered to suspend riding activities for a period of six months at least. Dr. Myers discovered that Walkers fall had aggravated an old injury. Immediately following the medicos pronouncement, Walker announced that he would hang up his tack and pursue the calling of jockeys agent. He will shortly take over the engagement books of Billy Taylor and George Martin.
