ROCK DOZER was taken in hand after alertly opening a clear lead, willingly repulsed a bid from FOXALONIA entering the stretch and scored handily. FOXALONIA raced closest to the winner, could not reach the latter when urged, but finished evenly. CHANCE SNOW was a prominent factor, but lacked an effective rally. WILL TO WIN was in slightly close quarters rounding the turn, but finished well. SPRING FROLIC was outrun. GRANDPAS SUE had no mishap. JIMMINY JOY C. raced on the outside and did not threaten. EAST BAY was hustled to gain a prominent position early, steadily wore down the leaders after a half-mile and, after opening a clear lead, J continued evenly. LUCKY LADY raced in company with the winner down the backstretch, could not stay with » the latter in the drive, but finished well. CORONUS gradually improved position and finished well. POMANDER willingly gave way when challenged and weakened. DAYROUND began slowly and lost distance racing on the »■ outside. ZIPPER was not a serious factor. MISS DEGREE was an alert factor under steady pressure, wore down FLYING POLLY in the stretch drive and then determinedly resisted TIME FOR FUN. The latter was rushed forward on the outside after settling into stride, finished resolutely and was getting to the winner. PHARAS BEAUTY was in hand, lacking room to improve position behind the first flight entering the stretch, then finished well. FLYING POLLY raced along freely setting the pace and faltered. SUPER LUNAR steadily improved position and finished willingly. DOVER DOLL raced into contention on the final turn, but did not gain in the final stages. THIRD CARBON saved ground vying for the pace, but faltered after six furlongs. BLAST OROSES did not respond. BIG FLOWER could not outsprint THIRD CARBON for the pace and quit. MURIEL quit.
