SKY PRINCESS was always within striking distance and, getting through on the inside when the early leaders went wide in the stretch, got to the front near the end to last in a drive. P0PNJAC moved up on the outside entering the last sixteenth and went strongly to the end. RUSSELL TS soon raced to contention and, gaining gradually, was close up at the finish. VICKI DIANA weakened, but outlasted SLITHEREEN. The latter had the most early speed, but bore out and tired in the last eighth. LAURA J. W. was never dangerous. Scratched— 86757 Mrs. Penrod, 105. GUS FAN was never too far removed from the pacemakers and, moving up between horses in the stretch, got to the front about fifty yards out to win going away. HAP GLAUDI was closest to SATERLEY while the latter was making the pace and, saving ground when he went wide, took command at midstretch, but was not good enough. HI RAPHAEL raced well through the stretch and was pressing for second place. MY FAITH went evenly. BALLAP00L went wide and was unable to keep up. CULTURE failed to be a contender. LADY ELLIOTT dashed up on the outside soon after the start to catch DELPHIS after rounding the stretch turn, and then drew out, but was hustled along in the closing stages to hold an advantage. SUBLINER gained steadily on the outside in the final quarter and was racing well at the finish. MRS. GOODE was always a solid contender in a good effort. BLUE ANSWER raced wide but was going gamely at the finish. MARGRETTIN made up ground. DELPHIS weakened in the stretch. THE BLUE MISS was never too far away from the pace of OTTER BROOK, and gaming on the tatter while racing on the outside through the stretch, got to the front nearing the finish to win slowly drawing out. OTTER BROOK drew away from the others after going a quarter and put up a fairly good battle when challenged. SAMS BRIDE was required to race wide early and failed to threaten for the leadership. RAINTREE raced several cngths back of the pace to the stretch turn, then came to the outside to move fast and catching SEVENTH SUN rearing the end, was going away. The latter was a forward factor from the start and forged to the front of GRASS FIRE, after entering the stretch but was unable to hold the winner. INSEPARABLE lacked early speed and appeared dull in the first half mile, but came steadily under urging in the stretch and was going well at the finish. GRASS FIRE tired in the run home.
