Nine Races for Detroit Opening DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., May 26. — Sidney S. Brown, chief assistant to racing secretary-handicapper Charles McLennan, announced today that eight races are to be programmed daily with the exceptions of Thursday, inaugural day; May 29, July 4 and all Saturdays, when nine races will be carded.
