Seven-Horse Field Meets In Laddies-Lassies Purse Glorys Chance Tries for His Third Victory of Ascot Meet ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 26.— The feature attraction here tomorrow will be the Laddies and Lassies Purse at a mile and one-sixteenth. As usual the feature will be run as the eighth race and a well-balanced field of seven has been named to face the starter. The field will lineup in the following order: Pooch, Oklahoma Kid, Blazing Silver, Just Mamie, Excel, Glorys Chance and Nassoon. G. J. McClellans Glorys Chance is a two-time winner at the meeting and has a particular liking for a fast track which should prevail here tomorrow. In his last race which was almost a month ago he defeated Penny Singer by six lengths in a handy score. In that race he was allowed to settle into best stride, moved up boldly on the final bend and then drew clear. In his other winning race over this course on April 22, also at a mile and one-sixteenth, he defeated Shadow Shot by a head, holding on gamely in the late stretch. Mrs. Betty Kennedys Nassoon has been a four-time winner here at Ascot and may go postward as the favorite. The five-year-old Swing and Sway gelding was last seen in action on May 19 when at seven furlongs he defeated Boulevardier by two and one-half lengths. In that race Nassoon gained the lead while on the backstretch, drew clear on the turns and was eased in the final 70 yards by jockey Plesa. He has not gone over a distance of ground as yet at this meeting, but he shows every indication that he will be able to handle the added furlongs very capably. Just Mamie, owned by Harrison M. Simpson, is always a threat and has had several good races here this spring. Oklahoma Kid shows signs of a winning race in the offing, but has disappointed on several occasions. Pooch is a newcomer from Fort Miami, but has been a winner this year at Charles Town. Blazing Silver has not shown much to date.
