Hold James J. Davenport Funeral Services Today NEW YORK, N. Y., May 26.— Funeral services for James J. Davenport, veteran racing handicapper and former jockey, will be held at Cookes Funeral Parlor on West 72nd Street at 2 p. m. tomorrow. Davenport, formerly employed by the Morning Telegraph, and for the last two decades an editor and columnist for the Daily Sports Bulletin, died suddenly in his 60s at his New York City home last Sunday. He is survived by his sons, James J., Jr., and Georfe, and a daughter. June.
