ARM IN ARM was lightly hustled along vying with GREAT GUY, saved ground and gradually drew away in the stretch to win with authority. GREAT GUY held the lead briefly rounding the turn, then was not good enough for the winner, but finished well to best FOR GLORY. The latter wended his way forward between horses and finished fastest of all. OIL GENE was well placed behind the first flight, made a jnild bid on the stretch turn, then lacked an effective closing rally. DARE TO HOPE-raced well after a sluggish start. NO CASE faltered. The latter was placed under pressure after settling in stride, steadily made up ground and finished gamely. FREDDIE FISH raced well for a half-mile and tired. MAXIMUM caught tiring horses. FLAUNT was forwardly placed, gradually wore down SETUBAL. under prolonged urging and continued detreminedly to outfinish MY CELESTE. The latter was allowed to make her own pace and dropped back while sluggish early, picked up speed after a half-mile and, while racing wide in the drive, finished with a rush. SETUBAL disposed of RUTHRED early and opened a comfortable lead, was nicely rated, but weakened in the final furlong. PASATIEMPO was in a formidT able position for the drive, but lugged in and had to be repeatedly taken out HERACLITO was not a threat. JOYMAKER could not join the leaders under punishment early and quit RUTHRED was fractious in the gate, could not outsprint SETUBAL and quit Scratched— 887932 Mully S., 118. ROCK SPAN was snugly rated setting the pace, drew clear when roused on the stretch turn and held on determinedly to best BESSIES BEAU. The latter, taken in hand with a slow start, rallied strongly on the final turn, lacked room trying to come between the top pair in the early stretch, then finished resolutely when clear. ARDOCH was snugly restrained close to the pace, then drifted out and weakened under punishment in the last furlong. FIGHTING FLEET, slightly impeded by ESPEDECO at the start, was never a serious threat. COBBER was outrun. COLOR GUARD quit.
