One Count, Kiss Me Kate, Maabrook Work for Stakes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 16. — Oscar White, trainer of Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords horses, had several of his stakes nominees on the Delaware Park strip this morning. One Count, named for the 5,000 added, mile and a quarter Sussex Handicap of June 27, turned in a handy mile over the fast strip in 1:41%. Kiss Me Kate, the 1952 New Castle Handicap heroine and a nominee for the July 4 renewal of that worlds richest filly-and-mare fixture, just breezed six furlongs in 1:14% and appears to be coming along nicely for the 00,000 added, mile and a quarter* classic. Maabrook, nominated for next week-ends rich Leonard Richards Stakes, looked exceptionally sharp as he sped a mile in 1:39 „, handily. Two other Richards hopefuls— Rokeby Stables Magic Lamp and John S. Phipps Pleiades, were caught miles in 1:41% and 1:44, respectively, neither being asked for his best.
