STRIDE AWAY, well handled, gradually worked way forward to the stretch, was sent .o the outside for the drive and, responding to brisk urging, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. RUSHING, a keen factor from the start, closed gamely under punishment but was unable to withstand the top one. CROSS BONES, away poorly, was hustled to reach serious contention and could not overtake the leaders v/hen set down in the drive. PAPA BEAR took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then faltered and probably needed "his race. SO FAIR moved up boldly approaching the stretch, reached the lead between calls, then weakened. WEE HASH began poorly and lost all chance. BLENDID MUSIC was never dangerous. MIBELAIRE showed nothing. MISS KNOBVIEW went to the front early, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and lasted to dead heat with WISE BILLING for first. WISE BILLING, a keen factor from the start, was sent to the outside of MISS KNOBVIEW for the drive, closed strongly and finished on equal terms with the latter. HY LIMITED lacked early speed, saved ground entering the stretch but could not reach the top pair when set down in the drive. NOWADAY GIRL gave a good effort and had no mishap. DUNTREATH MISS lacked early foot. BE-MI-DEAR, forced wide at the stretch turn, could not get to the leaders. WICKED GIRL, rank during the post parade, bore out badly during the final quarter mile. GOLDEN APOLLO took command at once, established a good lead before entering the stretch and retained a safe margin thereafter while under a steady hand ride. EFFORTLESS lacked early speed, closed strongly under urging, but could not get to the winner, although easily best of the others. DANGEROUS DAN raced well until inside the stretch, then weakened. GRAND BABY saved ground throughout, but could not better her position when set down for the drive. FEARFUL ODDS was never dangerous. FOREVER HI was through after a half-mile. GOLD FLASH had brief speed but failed to stay. GAME BID showed nothing. SALLYS DISH was never dangerous and was not persevered with during the stretch run when hopelessly beaten. PROPS saved ground while improving his position after a sluggish start, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and, after taking command, held on willingly under strong handling. BIMOVER went to the front at the start, set the pace to the stretch but could not stay with the winner. PHAROS DREAM, in hand to the last three-eighths mile, closed gamely under urging, struck PROPS heels at the finish, stumbled badly andfiearly fell. BOLING POLLY raced wide during the last guarter mile and could not get to the leaders. ATHLETE was never dangerous and had no mishap. HENRYS FIRST raced nearest BIMOVER to the stretch but tired badly during the drive. THWARTED failed to slay. ATTENTION MAC could not keep up after displaying early speed. SAVED AGAIN, far back early, drifted out at the final turn, then Z finished fast when straightened for the stretch run. OTTER BROOK, hustled to the front early, set the pace to JJJ the stretch while engaging TIS JOE, then faltered. TIS JOE, much used racing OTTER BROOK into defeat, xd reached the lead during the "drive, then weakened. BLEN SAND had no mishap. JOE PAGLINA raced well to the - stretch, then tired. VIS PRIDE was outrun. I TRUST showed nothing. SWEET SEELEY guit after showing - early speed. STRIKE was far back the entire trip. CRACKLETTE engaged MISS NAYLOR for a half-mile, but had nothing left for the drive. LETS THINK began sluggishly. CHEER-FOR-ME raced wide. PATOIS showed nothing FRANKS MAUDE- could not keep up.
