Stride Away, Miss Knobyiew Win Detroit Double Races DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 16. — Threatening weather undoubtedly cut attendance this afternoon at the Livonia course but a crowd of approximately 8,500 spectators witnessed the sport. Almost four lengths away, Ernest H. Lanes Hy Limited saved third in the field of nine youngsters meeting in the dash. Duntreath Farms Stride Away, under an alert ride from Carroll Bierman, drove to a neck verdict in the one mile opener, beating a capacity field of ordinary platers. The Daily Double payoffs on the Duntreath Farm gelding were 5.80 with Miss Knobview and 1.80 with Wise Billing.
