Cook Comes From Family of 13 DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 16.— Lois C. Cook, 103-pound jockey who led the rider standings here with 14 winners in the first 15 days, comes from a family of 13 children. Cook is oldest at 29, his youngest brother is three. "Only a couple of us are jockey-size," says the Kona, Ky., jockey. "Most of the boys weigh 130 pounds or so." Cook led the jockey standings at Detroit in 1951 and 1952. His brother, William McKinley Cook, also is well known to Michigan racing folk.
