Castellani, Langlois in Grudge Fight Rocky Still Angry , Over Last Setback Winner of Televised Scrap May Be in Line for Crack At 160-Pound Championship By MILT DOLINGER » United Press Sports Writer CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 16 — A grudge fight shaped up for tomorrow night between Rocky Castellani and Pierre Langlois when the two middleweights fight 10 rounds in what both hope will be the springboard to a title shot. Langlois, the determined Frenchman who ranks fourth among the 160-pounders, holds a split decision over Castellani. However, observers tend to. favor the Luzerne, Pa., fighter, who is now working out of Cleveland. Promoter Larry Atkins has been dangling a 5,000 guarantee before the IBC in hopes of luring a match here between tomorrow nights winner and the suvivor of Friday nights match in- New York between paddy Young and Bobo Olson, who are in the finals of the elimination for Sugar Ray Robinsons vacated crown. However, the next step appears to be a match between the winner of the Olson-Young scrap and Englands Randy Turpin, .who is claiming the world title, although he holds only the British Empire belt. Bitter About Status Two eight rounders, a six and a pair of four-set scraps have been lined up to round out tomorrow nights card, which will be televised. Langlois is bitter about his .status in the middleweight tournament. Once he was in the center of it. Then suddenly the National Boxing Association and the New York Commission cut down the field. They said it had been too unwieldy. Langlois was chopped off the list. He pfotested bitterly but to no avail. But to salve his wounds, he was promised an early shot at the eventual champion. So a win tomorrow over Castellani almost surely will place him in a position to meet the winner of the Olson - Young - Turpin tournament, which ends in September. Yet at the same time, Castellani knows that a victory over Langlois merely swaps roles. Then Rocky will be the lad to get first crack at the champion. Castellani has never conceded his last defeat at the hands of Langlois. Tomorrow night he can prove it was unfair.
