GOODE was always closest to the pace and went steadily to the finish. MAY LEE H. bettered her position in the stretch and was going well, at the end. SPOTLIGHT STAR reached a prominent place after entering the stretch, but weakened in the final drive. OUR LOVE was wide most of the way. BLUE ANSWER dropped back after breaking well. The latter dashed up on the outside after leaving the backstretch and appeared about to get to the winner on the stretch turn, then wavered and was unable to get up. THREE RINGS was close enough in the first six furlongs while racing under restraint, then seemed to be through, but came again near the finish. The latter had speed and ran a good race. ALS BOURBON made a strong run on the outside after leaving the backstretch and loomed as a possible winner an eighth out, but lacked finishing strength. LYLES FIRST was always a good contender. The others were outpaced.
