Dance Nsing, a four-year-old who finished second in the Peabody Memorial Handicap here last year, provided one of the major j upsets of the Chicago season when he won o the Lincoln Fields feature race today. The r! son of Seven Hearts, who had not been n close in his 10 previous starts this year j and who was beaten off on a muddy track s] here last week, led from soon after the s start to the finish of the event to win by £ one length from Hierarch, who was about £ an equal favorite with Three Rings. Jockey E W. M. Cook rode Dance Nsing,] who races ■« for the Buddah Stable. The colt paid 8.00 ii in in turning the mile and a sixteenth dis- p tance in 1:44%. "5i Company B., who won a division of the c Joliet Stakes here early in the meeting, I came through in impressive style in the u fifth race. The young gelding was the o favorite and although hp was outrun early, c he was hustled along through the stretch ii | by Johnny Adams and won by a half length I from Tuosix, with Admiral Porter third, v Company B., a son of Valdina Lamar, is c ; owned by the Cresson Farm, and was mak- ing the fourth start of his career. He has 1 never been out of the money. I Daily Double Pays 50.80. I The Daily Double pay-off was 50.80 j when Curious Reward, a five - year -old c J mare, annexed the first race, and Bill Boy, v vpfthe Oldehove Stable, took the second, t ; Curious Reward just got up in time to beat l ■ Manna H., but Bill Boy was in front all the i way. The opening race was on the turf. Another two-year-old race on the bill ; saw Flight Again, a filly by Faultless, graduating from the maiden ranks. She was 1 coupled with Our Love and was making her eighth start. Mrs. Goode raced to second . place, and May Lee H. finished third. Twelve competed at the five-furlong distance, and Al Popara was the wining rider. Solicit, the well -backed choice, was a . very easy winner in the fourth. His margin ■ at the end was seven lengths over Popnjac, i with Bigtime Gal being third. Adams rode [ Solicit. A field of six tried for the headliner, r which was named the Shoe Service Insti-; tute of America Purse. Dance Nsing rushed up on the outside soon after the start and i 5 was "a head to the good over Experimental i r rounding the first turn, while Adams had 1 . Three Rings well placed in third position, J and Hierarch was a close-up fourth. i ; [ As they went down the backstretch it ] , appeared that Three Rings could take com- "l 5 mand any time he chose, while Hierarch i . was also under restraint. Hierarch dashed j up on the outside as they left the back- ] j stretch, and then the temperamental Three I Rings failed to respond when called upon. As a matter of fact, rounding the stretch 1 p. turn it seemed as if Three Rings might end : a up in last place. He came on again near : r the finish, however, and was too good for : Experimental, taking third place from the , racer in the last stride, j Dance Nsing earned 3,800 last year, but his score today was the first time he B 3 had earned a penny this season. A crowd r of 11,142 was on hand for the sport, which Q was conducted in hot, sticky weather.
