Queens County Handicap Top Impost to Royal Vale Assigned 130 but Starting Status For Aqueduct Stake Is Doubtful BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 16. — Racing secretary John B. Campbell has honored Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs Royal Vale with the top impost of 130 pounds for Saturdays 5,000 Queens County Handicap, the mile and a sixteenth feature of the opening program at Aqueduct. The English horse, who won the Massachusetts Handicap last Wednesday, was narrowly beaten in the Metropolitan and Suburban by Tom Fool, and won the Bowie, Gallant Fox and Dixie handicaps before that, is not expected to accept the impost. However, trainer Jim Ryan is being a mite coy about his charge, who is scheduled to go to California for the rich Hollywood Gold Cup, in which he is favorably weighted, and has said he might possibly appear at Aqueduct. This statement might, just possibly, be intended to trouble the sleep of John Gaver, Tom Fools trainer, who is pointing the champion for the Carter and Brooklyn at Aqueduct and has said he would be quite happy to see Royal Vale leave for distant parts. Tom Fool and his stablemate, One Hitter, were declared from the Queens County, along with Alerted and To Market. Brookfield Farms Intent, who has been retired from racing with a bowed tendon, is secondxin the Queens County weights with 126 pounds, while Alfred G. Vander-bilts First Glance, who is also on the sidelines, is next with 120. The likely starting topweights are Cain Hoy Stables Armageddon, and C. T. Chenerys Bryan G., who get in with 114 pounds each. Mrs. Samuel Pistorios Tuscany, C. V. Whitneys Cold Command and Vanderbilts Whither also have been giyen 114 pounds in Saturdays test, but are less certain starters. Among the probables are Ben F. Whita-kers Hitex, a sprint winner yesterday, 113 pounds; D. J. Schneiders Elixir,1 and Van--derbilts Indian Land, 112 each; Jack Amiels Count Turf and King Ranchs High Scud, 110 each; Mrs. S. G. Zauderers Gay Grecque, 109, and such lightweights as Risque Rouge, Swoop, Assignmerit, Begorra, King Jolie and Ancestor. Complete weights follow: Horse. Wt Horse. Wt.
