Grecian Queen Nominee For Great Lakes Stakes Star Three-Year-Old Filly Tops 32 Named for Randall Feature RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, Aug. 15. Racing secretary-handicapper J. Gilbert Haus announced the "names of 32 three-year-olds that have been nominated for the 0,000 added Great Lakes Stakes to be run here next Saturday. The list includes some of the best three-year-olds in competition this season and is by far the most formidable roster ever nominated for a stake offering in the Buckeye State. Heading the nominations Mrs. Benjamin F. Whitakers Grecian Queen, who is the leading three-year-old filly in competition this season. The daughter of Heliopolis has won the 00,000 added New Castle at Delaware Park, the Coaching Club American Oaks at Belmont, and the 0,000 Monmouth Oaks. Trainer James Conway has also nominated Tahitian King, who was one of the leading two-year-olds of last season. The Rokeby Stable of Paul Mellon has nominated both Magic Lamp and V-Two for the Great Lakes. Allie E. Reubins Hasty House Farm submitted the names of Platan and Stan, while William Ziegler, Jr. has nominated Tortilla and Expletive.
