STAN was cleverly rated in the early part, being under restraint for the first seven furlongs, then responded readily when urged to find an opening in the stretch and, wearing down BRUSH BURN, got to the front in the last thirty yards to win drawing out. The latter was a strong factor from the start and, saving ground after heading VANTAGE, took a clear lead to go strongly to the end. VANTAGE showed good speed in making the pace, but seemed outmatched by the first two when it came to an issue. DANCE NSING was a good contender early and held on fairly well. THE EAGLE weakened in the stretch. ABBE STING, as usual, was outpaced early and made up ground on the inside. REAL DELIGHT raced up soon after the start, bore out going to the first turn, was wide on the backstretch and tired badly in the final drive. - Scratched 98293 Oil Capitol, 126. DEAD DUCK was saved when in rather tight quarters on the inside during the backstretch run, but found an opening in the stretch to get through and take command to best YARDMASTER in a driving finish. The latter moved resolutely after entering the stretch and carried on with good speed, but was unable to make it. EXPERIMENTAL came around the outside on the stretch turn and appeared to head the field momentarily when straightened out for home, but faltered in the c final drive. LOCK OUT finished with good courage. SIX-THREE-FOUR tired. Overweight Foxpoise, 3 pounds. p Attendance, 28,802; Total Mutuel Pool, ,032,020
