Investigate Charity Funds SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Aug. 15. The State Attorney Generals office will launch an investigation of the charity funds held in trust by all major California race tracks after it completes its probe of the handling of the Bay Meadows funds, according to Clarence Linn, assistant "attorney general for the State of California. Linn added that the investigations at Santa Anita Park, Del Mar, Golden Gate Fields and Tanforan would be merely routine. Bay Meadows funds were frozen, along with those of other enterprises of William P. Kyne, general manager of the track, through a court order obtained by the attorney generals office, the petitioner, the order stating that the department wanted to investigate alleged excessive charges against the charity funds.
