Irrisor After Third Victory at Randall Dupan Also Goes Into Dash Of University Heights Purse With Two Wins Under Belt RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, Aug. 15. The University Heights Purse, exclusively for three-year-olds matching strides at six furlongs, headlines Mondays , nine -race program here at Randall Park. A small but well-balanced field of six have been named for the race. Mrs. Jane P. Kriegers Irrisor, to be ridden by William Hartack, will carry 114 pounds under the conditions of the race and will probably be the favorite at post time. Irrisor is one of the most improved colts on the grounds and has won two races thus far at the meeting. He broke his . maiden on July 23 when he bested Luess by four lengths. He next started a week later and this time, running in allowance company, turned back Sir Hoop by two lengths, covering the six furlongs in 1:12. He moved around horses in the final bend in that particular race and then drew clear inside the furlong marker under Hartacks urgings. This son of Hoop Jr. was beaten here on August 6 when Fair Pilot turned the trick by three parts of a length. Irrisor moved up on the final bend, looming the most dangerous, and then flattened out in the late stretch. Winner of Last Two Slated face the Krieger color-bearer are Arthur B. Hancock Jr.s Shady Nook, John Kataculos Son o Luck, Llangollen Farms Ahnighito, E. S. ODeskys Wayward Lass, and H. Benets Dupan. The latter looms the main threat to Irrisor, having won her last two outings. The Devil Diver filly beat Count Pur, going six furlongs on August 10, by a length and one-quarter while being nicely ridden by Gale I Hatcher. Dupan gained the lead at the start and was in front by two lengths until the late stretch when Count Pur made up a small amount of ground, but never seriously endangered Dupans lead. Before that race, on August 5, Dupan broke her maiden at the direct expense of the heavily favored Orsini when the Benet color-bearer defeated that one by three lengths after leading throughout. That race was contested in the slop and her time was 1:13. Ahnighito, from the large stable of Norman L. Haymaker, will be seeking her third tally of the season in 20 starts. The Endeavour n. filly won twice at Waterford Park before shipping to Randall, but in two starts here has found the going rather rugged. In her last effort here she wound up fourth, beaten six lengths by Demree.
