The latter showed good speed along the inside, drew clear entering the stretch and weakened inside the final sixteenth. TEN STONE rushed boldly on the far turn to reach a contending position and went evenly in the drive. PLATTERETTE dropped r,a.T?! lly the eariy sta9es moved outside for the drive but was unable to threaten under stout urging BALTIMORE JIM, a forward factor on the outside, lacked a rally. WENTWORTH, showing decided improvement, was under stout restraint to remain off the pace until-the final quarter mile, moved clear when roused and increased advantage with ease. HARD HELD, taken back off the pace and placed under steadying restraint moved readily when roused, neared contention entering the stretch and hampered rider by trying to bear in DEEP DOWN went around horses on the far turn to challenge for the lead bdt was not good enough and was tiring at the end. FINAL DRIVE had no mishap. RIBBED, hustled to gain early lead, gave way after five furlongs and retired steadily. HULLIE, slow to begin, was unable to make up ground when put to late pressure. EASTER HOUR assumed a comfortable lead soon after the start, shortened stride after a half mile, was under steady urging but was not good enough. LUNAR PARK broke alertly, raced in closest attendance of the leader in the backstretch and held on tenaciously through the drive. DANDY WAG rallied mildly on the final turn and weakened. TIN TWIST rushed boldly after three furlongs, was unable to reach the leader and weakened. BUSTERBEGOOD lacked early speed. OVERDONE was outrun. ARTS BOY, in hand while kept within striking distance of the pace, rallied when set down but moved too late to reach the leaders. CALDWELL drove up along the inside on the final turn and appeared to hang. IN TASTE failed to respond when roused. WILD FOX was used up forcing the pace. ETERNAL MOON was outrun. MISS JOANNE, taken back at the start and steadied for five furlongs, moved closed to the pace along the inside, and moved along the rail near the quarter pole, and came out in front as she moved to center of track and maintained her advantage under intermittent urging. PARK DANDY, in hand close to the pace under light restraint, moved on the outside when set down but was not good enough. MR. MIDNIGHT broke alertly, went along with DARK DESTROYER for six furlongs, drew out slight on the far turn and was put to pressure while forced slightly wide on the final turn, but was not good enough. HUNTERS UNION closed with a late rush along the inside. TALL TREE was unable-to keep up. COHERENCE had no mishap. DARK DESTROYER stopped after six furlongs. PACOY was outrun.
