DEADLINE, always within striking distance, went to the front when ready and drew clear when ridden out. ROS CLAG held a clear lead when set down for the drive, shortened stride when placed to pressure and was unable to hold the winner. MYSTERY FLIGHT, outrun early, made up some ground during the late stages. YELLOW MIST tired. ZEVETTE raced wide. DANGEROUS SUN gOit as did WHITE WITCH. LOVELY LEAGUE showed nothing. THORIS, slow to gain best stride, came fast wfeen set down for the stretch run and, after taking command, continued on gamely when fully extended. SHANNY, outrun early, closed with good energy to finish on even terms with ITS NO USE. The latter was sent Into closer contention after being straightened for the drive and lasted to earn a dead-heat with SHANNY. CEDAR JUNGLE, perhaps best, was forced to take up sharply when blocked on the final turn, came out for the drive and finished determinedly. JINGLER, much used early, lacked the necessary rally. EDIEROSE tired. TROPICAL was outrun, as was IRENE STAUNTON. Attendance, 12,393; Total Mutuel Pool, 45,719.
