ROSA forced the early pace while in hand, came to the outside when ready on entering the stretch and wore down ODDS ADVANCE without need of urging. The latter had speed, saved ground and gave way readily. UP THE RIVER broke sluggishly, moved up steadily between horses, but could not seriously menace the top pair. SEVENS STAR, also slow to start, moved through between horses while lugging in through the stretch run. CEDAR LANE saved ground to no avail. MISS TEASE was through early. PIRATE JEAN, held in reserve for the first half mile, moved from the outside on the second turn to wrest command a quarter out and was hard ridden to hold ROZS * FOLLY safe. The latter came to the inside early to advance steadily, moved out between horses for the final drive and finished strongly. BOUQUET BILLY disposed of ALORAN after going three-eighths, came to the inside thereafter and held on fairly well. PROMPT BOY, caught in close -quarters early, came out" on the second turn and finished full of run. SIRENS RING faltered after making a menacing bid from outside on the second turn. RUTHS BOY was void of early speed and raced extremely wide on the final turn. CARTOWNA WAS A LATE WITHDRAWAL AND ALL MONIES WAGERED ON HER IN THE DAILY DOUBLE POOL WERE REFUNDED.
