Ak£ ar-Ben Cards Kings Plate Cap Dog Fish Seeks Repeat Win In Omaha Event and Avenge Earlier Setback by Y Bond By PAT CAUDILL Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 7. — General manager J. J. Isaacson announced this morning the purse for Wednesdays featured Ak-Sar-Ben Kings Plate Handicap would be ,000, showing an increase of ,000 over the originally advertised purse in the condition book. This represents the highest purse thus far this meeting with four ,000 handicaps having been decided in the first 14 days of the meeting. Tomorrows headliner is designed for three-year-olds at the distance of six furlongs and eight speedsters accepted the weights assigned them by racing secretary Kenneth W. Mcintosh. H. G. Wells Dog Fish, a good looking son 1 of Spotted Bull — Sea Nymph, will carry top 1 weight of 122 pounds and have the services of jockey Billy Powell in his attempt to repeat his winning effort in last Thursdays Lamplighter Purse. Dog Fish will seek to turn the tables on J. K. Houssels Y Bond, who defeated him in the Ak-Sar-Ben Princess Handicap on May 25 and a strong duel can be expected to come from this pair. Y Bond will be ridden by jockey Bobby Ford and will carry 116 pounds. The same weight has been assigned the Double L Farms Coliseo, who has turned in two sharp efforts here but ; has yet to score over the local oval. Silver State Carries 114 E. K. Careys Silver State, 114 pounds, Carl Craigs Sharp Share, 107 pounds, J. B. Allisons Foothill Fanny, D. Vollmers Do-reno V. and F. O. Akins Fillerup complete t the field.
