Braves Sign Ace Prep Hurler To Minor League Contract MILWAUKEE, Wis., June 7 UP.— The Milwaukee Braves announced today that they had signed Jim Cahoon, a 17-year-old right handed pitcher who hurled four no-hitters in high school competition, to a minor league contract. Cahoon, a resident of Lake Delton, Wis., who attended Wisconsin Dells high school, won 28 games and lost four in three years of prep school competition. He had seven shutouts, including the four no-hit games. The Braves signed Cahoon to a contract with Eau Claire of the Class C Northern league.
