My Preference Garners Eighth Score of Year Consistent Lind Racer Clicks At First ThistleDown Asking THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 7. — Sam E. Linds My Preference, boasting an enviable record for consistency this season, chalked up his eighth triumph in 16 starts when he* handily downed eight other experienced sprinters in the fifth race here today. Made favorite by the estimated crowd of 5,300, My Preference paid .80 after crossing the wire two and a half lengths to the good of Blue Reward. Three and. a half lengths farther back, D.. O. Leshers Our Tops garnered the show portion of the purse. My Preference carried apprentice Bobby Wall, who was the fifth "bug" rider in as many races to guide a winner on the card. Going five and a half furlongs over a fast strip, the winner was timed in 1:05%. Recently shipped" here from Suffolk Downs, My Preference has finished worse than third on but two occasions this year and has earned 0,790 for his efforts. Castle Rock Farms Rock Blade, a homebred three-year-old gelded son of Corsican Blade — Beryl, paid the longest price of this meeting when rewarding ticket holders 35.40 after accounting for the third race. Inactive as a two-year-old and soundly trounced in his two previous starts, which were made at Pimlico this spring, Rock Blade took command soon after the start of this dash of six furlongs and led throughout, downing Spindanny by slightly more than two lengths. A length and a quarter farther back found Gold Standard in the show spot. Apprentice Ronnie Wilson, who formerly rode in New York and Florida affiliated with a large public stable trained by Horatio A.
