BANJOIST, unhurried in the early stages, circled his field when rallying on the second turn and was up in the closing strides. PUSAN, held in reserve for the first half, mqved through between horses on the second turn and finished strongly. AMON held on fairly well after setting the pace to the final sixteenth. CHUM made up some ground but could not seriously threaten. SWAMP THEATRE gave way suddenly after racing forwardly to the stretch turn. Scratched— 50554 Andrea L., 108. GET BUSY made all the pace while in hand, saved ground, responded to urging to turn back HANDSOME TEDDY a furlong away and then had enough left to outlast BIG STICK. The latter was held in reserve early, came to the outside on the second turn and, under strong handling, was getting to the winner. HANDSOME TEDDY moved up boldly under urging on the final turn to challenge the winner entering the final furlong but was not quite good enough. YANG-KE raced wide and made tip some round. MARYS TIME showed some early foot. SHEER WORTH broke tardily. Scratched— 50644 Turkey Boots, 112; 49194 Linkythorn, 112; 50641 Rozs Folly, 107; 49249 Demfleet, 102.
