Ohio Commission Upholds Veterinarian in Complaint COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 7.— The State Racing Commission has upheld Dr. H. V. Beavers, Grove City veterinarian, in his complaint that the Columbus Trotting Association had planned to engage inferior assistants for him at the Hilliards Raceway night harness race meeting, which opens, Tuesday, June 7. Beavers, who is in charge of the post-race urinalyses for the Commission, said the Columbus Trotting Association executives had approached him with the plan of hiring four assistants to him at the cost of per night instead of three Ohio State University veterinary students at 0 per night. Zoltan Gombos, chairman of the Commission, said: "Dr. Beavers work is too important to assign incompetent, under-paid assistants to him. I believo his assistants should be paid 0 per night and they should be the best available."
