Award Two More Contracts For Building of Ontario Track TORONTO, Ont., June 7.— The Ontario Jockey Club, Ltd., announced today that two more contracts have been awarded in connection with the construction of new Woodbine race track on Number 27 highway, near Malton Airport in Etobicoke Township. Jackson-Lewis Company, of Toronto, was the successful bidder for the new administration building, jockeys building and paddock. These buildings will cost 90,000. Jackson-Lewis, who are the general contractors for the grandstand and clubhouse building as well, awarded the sub contract for mechanical trades on those buildings to Canadian Comstock on a bid of 13,500. Work now is progressing at a fast pace on the new track and it is anticipated that the track will be opened, well ahead of schedule, next May. Erection of the steelwork on the clubhouse and grandstand building started 10 days ago. The next large contract to be awarded for construction of the fireproof concrete-block barns and general construction of stable area and recreation are for horsemen. This contract will be awarded at th« next meeting of the Ontario Jockey CIuh4 executive committee.
