BOGIE MAN moved fromjust off the pace to attain command at the furlong pole arid lasted over MONACOAN. The latter responded to pressure and just missed. MONGOOSE lacked the required late response. CHANTER overcame crowding to close with good energy. Jockey Cox lodged an objection without specifying the offender and no action was taken. CHANGELING was taken up sharply leaving the backstretch and recovered to close well. FOUR JACKS broke tardily and raced extremely wide. HASTEFIELD attained command after a half and weakened. RACE TANDEM was through early. IRISH FOLLY held a clear lead after a quarter and flattened out. PRIAMS SPECIAL was "crowded along the inside after a quarter. Won driving; third the same. FALCULA trailed in the early running, rallied from midway of the final turn and was up for a dead-heat with LOQUACIOUS. The latter attained command along the backstretch, drew clear steadily to the furlong pole and just lasted for the dead-heat. DARK MUSIC rallied to the stretch and lacked further response. ROODLES failed to threaten. PETITIONER set and pressed the pace for five furlongs and gave way.
