WILDCAT SAM was slow to get into strideand was outrun for a quarter, but came fast in the middle of the track in the final furlong to be up to win in the last twenty yards. SONGLET went to thefront at once and, after setting a good pace, withstood a stretch challenge from HEART FLASH and went well to the end. The latter moved up in the stretch and appeared to be bothered slightly when SONGLET bore out on him an eighth out. CEDARESQUE was racing well at the end in a good effort. PARKLEA tired. QUICK IMP did not seem to like the going. Scratched— 50887 Sky Maid, 103; 50666 Amawalk, 120. Overweight— Cedaresque, 1 pound. Quick Imp claimed by L. H. Thompson. Run on Main Course. MOCK BATTLE was off slowly and was outrun to the stretch, then came fast in the middle of the track to get to the front in the final sixteenth and to win going away. VASCO DA GAMA made a good bid for the leadership entering the final furlong and showed in front momentarily, but was unable to resist the winner. JUST JUDY was racing strongly at the end. PASSING HOUR tad the most early foot, but weakened when put to a drive in the stretch. CHICLE II. tired. Scratched-9278 Kiami, 110. Attendance, 9,067; Total Mutuel Pool, 10,018.
