SIRS PRIDE was prominent from the start and raced in the clear on the outside, took command in the stretch and gradually drew into a clear advantage. BOBNJACK, also a keen contender from the start, had to be cautiously handled while on the inside and outgamed SAGMATE for the place. The latter made the pace from soon after the start and held on willingly, but was not good enough. SNOW WILLOW bore in and had to be carefully ridden. QUICK SHOWER pressed the early pace and tired. TRIPLE HONORS was never a serious threat. JANNA LEA was with the first flight in the opening stages and weakened. WHY BILL showed little. Scratched— 50646 Daddys C. CUNA faltered after being displaced for command. SLY WINK broke tardily and had to be carefully ridden going between horses. FLICKA STAR had no excuse. ROCK BLADE went into a clear lead quickly, was /oused in the stretch, increased his advantage and won with something left. SPINDANNY bore in badly when set down for the drive. GOLD STANDARD closed resolutely after a sluggish start. TURF MONEY saved ground and had no excuse. ROYALDINA tired.- IRISLOU went well for a half mile and gave way. as did DECEMBER KING. POLLY CHANCE, A SCHEDULED STARTER, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN BY THE STEWARDS FROM THE PARADE WHEN IT WAS DISCOVERED SHE WAS INELIGIBLE TO RACE HERE. ALL WAGERS ON HER WERE REFUNDED. Scratched-46413 P. BILLIE-ANNE, steadied while blocked on the rail along the backstretch, found room on the inside to reach command rounding the turn and just lasted over ELKCHESTER. The latter broke sluggishly and trailed, moved through on the inside when gaining best stride and was rapidly getting to the winner. UNDELY was within striking ditsance and faltered through the drive. ARIELS FIRST tired from her early efforts. BLUE QUAIL gave way in the final quarter mile. FOXIE KING tired, as did CAROL S. TELBRAS bore out in the run to the first turn and on the first turn, moved up to be on nearly even terms for command on the final turn, bore in through the stretch and got .the nod over LONELY WINTER. The latter escaped the trouble caused early by TELBRAS was bothered in the stretch and missed in a game try. GENTLE GAL, crowded early, saved ground thereafter and closed well. ROCKBRIDGE was carried wide on the first turn. EAGLE SPEED tired, as did JUDY BOY ANDYS DREAM showed little.
