White Sox Get Jim Busby In Trade With Senators WASHINGTON, D. C, June 7 UP. — The Washington Senators today traded outfield Jim Busby to the Chicago White Sox for outfielder Johnny Groth, catcher Clint Courtney and relief pitcher Bob Chakales. The one-for-three deal was announced by vice-president Calvin Griffith of the Washington club, who also had been negotiating with the New York Yankee and the Boston Red Sox. Busby, fleet center fielder now batting .236, originally came to Washington from the White Sox in 1953 for outfielder Sam Melee, now with the Red Sox. Groth, formerly with Detroit, has a .349 batting average so far this season. Courtney is batting .370.
