Wagner Invites Princess to New York LONDON, England, June 7. — New Yorks mayor Robert F. Wagner today invited Britains Princess Margaret to visit New York City "any time she" pleases." The mayor said he made a similar offer of the citys hospitality to Queen Mother Elizabeth. The invitations were extended, Wagner said, during his visit to the Queen Mother and the Princess at Clarence House. Princess Margaret, he said, was very much interested in the invitation but was unable to say when she could pay New York a visit. * R. R. Strikers Accept Negotiating Formula LONDON, England, June 7.— Britains striking railway firemen and engineers today accepted a labor-drafted .negotiating -formula giving the first faint hopes for ending thier disastrous 10-day walkout. Nehru in Moscow for 16 Day Visit MOSCOW, Russia, June 7. — Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal-Nehru arrived in Moscow today for a 16-day visit to Russia. Nehru arrived here after a two-hour flight in a special Soviet plane from Prague, Czechoslovakia. Prague radio reported that the Indian prime minister before leaving the Czechoslovak capital said that the planned to "discuss many things" with Soviet leaders, including disarmament, "peaceful coexistence" and hopes of getting Red China into the United Nations.. NATIONAL: Success Depends on Russia, Duties Says "WASHINGTON, D. C, June 7.— Secretary of State John Foster Dulles said today the Big Four meetings this summer could accomplish a great deal if Russia is willing to adopt a new spirit. He told a news conference that if the Soviet Union is, sincerely ready to make progress, much could be accomplished in a fairly short time foljowing the brief "Summit" meeting of heads of government in mid-July. He apparently had in mind subsequent conferences to follow the heads-of-state meeting. Distribute Released Polio Vaccine WASHINGTON, D. C, June 7.— The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis said today the 1,000,000 Salk polio shots released by the government last night will be shipped quickly to five northern states and the. deep south. The five northern states are New Jersey, Maine, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Their programs have been held up for lack of approved vaccine. They will get roughly 400,000 shots immediately to take care of free first injections for first and second grade school children. Big Four Meeting No Cure-AII; Eisenhower WEST POINT, N. Y., June 7.— President Eisenhower warned his fellow countrymen today that the forthcoming Big Four meeting "at the summit" will not cure all the ills of "a world sick with ignorance, mutual fears and hates. The chief executive promised to "explore every decent avenue toward a lasting and just peace" at the tentatively scheduled July 18-21 meeting with the chiefs of Great Britain, France and the Soviet Union. To Study Better Ways to Use Vaccine LAKE PLACID, N. Y., June 7.— State health commissioner Herman E. Hilleboe today, announced a series of special polio studies will be made to seek better ways to use Salk vaccine. At the first general session of the 51st annual health conference, Hilleboe said the studies would be conducted this summer to provide information on such questions as the proper amount of vaccine, method of dosage, and measurement and deviation of immunity. Senate Body OKs Minimum Wage Boost WASHINGTON, D. C, June 7.— The Senate Labor Committee today approved a bill to raise the minimum wage law from the present 75 cents to an hour. The figure was 10 cents above President Eisenhowers 90-cent recommendation, which mustered the support of only two Republicans on the 13-member committee. If enacted, the bill would mean pay increases for an estimated 2,100,000 of the 24,000,000 covered by the federal wage-hour law. House Approves Postal Workers Raise WASHINGTON, D. C, June 7. — The Horse today passed a Senate-approved bill to give all postal workers an average 8 per cent pay raise. The House tacked on minor amendments, which seemed assured of quick Senate approval. The Senate action would send the measure to the White House for President Eisenhowers signature. Three Released Fliers Arrive Home OMAHA, Nebr., June 7. — Three American fliers today completed a long journey home from Chinese Communist prison camps. The overjoyed jet pilots were greeted at Offutt air force base here by a cheering crowd, then dispersed to their home towns and separate civic celebrations.
