1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES s, -s Apprentice J. J. Smith had a narrow escape from serious injury Tuesday morning when Jack B., which he was exercising became unruly and jumped the outside fence. The horse suffered an injury to his right stifle but escaped other injury. Karl Horvath had his first mount of the meeting on Centennial in the fourth race Tuesday. Frank Grand vanned Chiefs Pride, Justice B., and Le Flore from Fair Park. The others of the Radio Stable will remain at the Dallas track. The second issue of condition books were distributed among the horsemen Tuesday. Charles J. McLennan, racing secretary, called the horsemens attention to the Dallas Handicap, nominations for which close Wednesday. After their Mondays engagement, Ridge-view was placed on the barred list and Missouri Girl and Johnny Bane were placed on the schooling list. The consistent and useful Norman D. and Her Gold comprise the small stable J. L. Oglesby brought here from Hot Springs. Ross Higdon, trainer of the Eskay Stable, stated Tuesday morning that Pecnickety, which he purchased from H. D. Cox, would be shipped to the Paul Fred farm at Tulsa, Okla., where she will be bred to Boys Howdy. Pernickety is a five-year-old daughter of St. Germans and Prudish. Paul Waggoner said he intended to send the main division of the Three Ds Stock Farm Stable to Churchill Downs for that meeting. William Wallace will have charge of that division and the others of the stable will go to another track in charge of Jack Hayes, the second trainer. Apprentice M. Terry, one of the leading riders at New Orleans arrived from Hot Springs and was in colors Tuesday afternoon. H. Simmons, who has succeeded Jack London, as agent for F. A. Smith, will make Terrys engagements. J. M. Brooks arrived from Hot Springs with Jerry S., Blue Cat, Be Big, Wily Girl and Quick. Watch In and Dunley comprises the small stable of A. J. Murphy brought here from Houston. Ray Forshay has Civilian and Proprietor here for Mrs. K. Maxwell, a Texas patron. The Dave Christian stable which played an important part in Oaklawn Park racing, unloaded at Fair Park, Dallas. Christian who is training Hammel, Beige, Deferred, Marcella Agnes, Lucky Prospero, My Pros-pero and the two-year-old Mizie intends vanning the most of his stable here to participate in Arlington Downs racing.
